Benside Cottage
The cottage is a traditional crofthouse located in the quiet crofting village of Benside. It sits on a hillside overlooking the Main Town of Stornoway and across Broadbay. It is the ideal base for exploring the many attractions of the island.
The cottage has been our family's home since the 1950s and belonged to my late Grandmother. We have taken great care to refurbish the cottage to the very highest standards to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
The house retains the character of the traditional crofthouse but has been tastefully refurbished to provide all the needs of the modern lifestyle.
The property features:
1 luxury ground floor double bedroom, first floor double and twin bedrooms; travel cot and baby chair are available by prior arrangement; bathroom with bath and electric shower; a large fully-fitted modern kitchen with electric cooker/gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, iron, outdoor washing line, etc; a separate dining room with fireplace; a comfortable lounge to relax in after a busy day exploring which features LCD digital TV, HiFi with iPod docking station, Playstation and games, books, fire place; garden to front and play area to rear of property; electric central heating and double glazing throughout.
All bed linen and towels are provided.
Broadband Wireless Internet access available.
